About Urban Education

Learn how to work within the dynamic environment of the urban classroom—with its diversity of culture, language, and opportunity—to provide transformative learning experiences for students. This five-year program allows students to earn both a bachelor's and master’s degrees with just one additional year of study.

Early Childhood Option

Qualify for New Jersey certification in grades P–3 and teaching English as a second language (ESL).

Elementary Option

Qualify for New Jersey certification in grades K–6 and teaching English as a second language (ESL).

Secondary Option

Qualify for New Jersey certification in grades K–12 in a content area.
